"CAP" for a "LIFE"
As some of you might have noticed or heard we have been collecting plastic bottle caps the last couple weeks. These caps are going to a very special young man who's family wants us to just call him "Ben".
"Ben" is a four year old boy from the Alexandria area who is fighting Leukemia. For every 1000 bottle caps that we save, we can provide "Ben" with a Chemotherapy treatment. We have approximately 350 participants in the Raider Youth Sports program this year. If every participant and their parents save one bottle a day, we can save approximately 7,350 caps per week as an organization. That means that we could not only provide "Ben" with Chemo treatments, but we might be able to help other children in the Greater Cincinnati area that are not as fortunate as we are as well. Please save your recyclable caps off of your water bottles, Pepsis, Gatorade, Cokes, milk jugs, detergents, or any other products that use plastic caps. All caps can be brought to practice or the games and given to Mark Koch, Junior assistant coach. What a small gesture by a great organization like the Raiders to give back to the community in such a huge way. Thank you all for your support in this endeavor.
